Another Dog?

Today Travis called me to let me know that the breeder that sold us Maya had another litter of weinheimer puppies and they were willing to give us one of the females for free.  I know that right now is the worst timing ever, but I just love dogs so much and can’t wait to have more someday!  It got me thinking about my little girls at home and how much I miss them.  I can’t wait until all of us can be together- and watch out Travis because it’s going to be 5 to 1.  Girls are about to rule the roost.
Libby (or as my nieces call her, Wibby)

Oh, Libby.  She’s the apple of my eye, a little stubborn but so very sweet.   We’ve had somewhat of a long road with her, but it’s been worth it every step of the way.  She’ll do anything we ask of her, especially if there’s a treat involved.  Libby loves being the center of attention, loves meeting new people, and loves going places in the car. Libby is completely and utterly fearless. (Little dog syndrome)   All she wants out of life is a good snuggle, a tasty snack, and a nice, long nap preferably inside with a sunbeam shinning on her.  Libby is an amazing part of our family- I can’t wait for her to meet the twins.  Just thinking about their first encounter makes me laugh!  I hope I know what I’m in for!
Maya (or as my nieces call her, My-za)
Maya, she's like a Velcro strip stuck to you at all times.  If you sit, she sits.  If you stand, she stands.  If you move to another room in the house, she will follow. She’s incredibly smart but so terribly anxious. New things can sometimes threaten Maya. She’s ever-vigilant, yet terrified of the broom, plastic bags, the vacuum, power tools, and so on.  Although I am confident that she would overcome her fear of the vacuum if it meant keeping us safe. She loves to play fetch, especially with Travis.  As much as I hate to admit it, she is such a daddy’s girl. Maya hates squirrels and she’s been known to snatch a few in her mouth. (gross, I know)  Maya can spend all afternoon running from the kitchen window to the living room window in search for the many squirrels we have running around our yard. All Maya wants out of life is to keep everyone safe, to be able to be by your side and lots and lots of hugs and kisses.

Miss you girls so so so much!
