Ultrasound Day

It’s so great to have both my mom and Travis here for our ultrasound today!  And after much convincing I got the nurse to let me walk (I mean waddle) with the hospital transporter to my appointment.  It was great to get up on my own two feet and feel somewhat normal.  I’m not sure who looked more ridiculous walking, me or Travis; we both kind of did the hobble/waddle walk!  What a cute couple we are!

Today was a really exciting day in the Ultrasound room.

My doctor, Travis and I

We got conformation from our doctor that Lilly and Addison will be born at 32 weeks.  At one point my doctor had considered keeping the twins in me until I was 34 weeks, but now he is standing firm at 32 weeks.  So the official delivery date is going to be February 2nd, 2011.  Ironically, February 2nd is Groundhog Day! (read previous post) Funny how things come together like that!

We got to finally see one of the girls faces!  Addison was ready for her close up, but Lilly wasn’t having it.  We’ve yet to get Lilly to turn her head toward by belly; she really likes staring at my back.  When the sonographer showed us Addison in 3D, my heart dropped.  Not that my pregnancy hasn’t felt real, but seeing her face made it seem real for some reason.  She looks just like her daddy and I could see his heart melting from across the room.

Without further ado, I give you Addison Rose Wright.
